I had to pause the episode at this part and I cried uncontrollably for about a half-hour. :( It kind of frightened me that a cartoon could bring up all these personal feelings/memories/regrets. I felt a little violated.  I might never watch this episode again.

literally my favorite moment in the entire god damn show. i wept and am not ashamed to admit it. BEST EMOTIONAL REDEMPTION.

as an animator, i am admiring the depth of expression in everything about this scene.

I usually don’t really like Avatar, but… UNCLE IROH FAHK MAN.

He reminds me too much of my dad. ;n; I swear…

This is what I love about Avatar. Its ability to present deep, emotional concepts and situations in a way that kids can understand, without short-selling them in the slightest.
